TAMS Group awarded five-year barge contract in QLD

Diversified marine and port services company TAMS Group is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a five-year contract by ConocoPhillips Australia as downstream operator of Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) for landing barge services at its APLNG facility in Queensland.

TAMS has been providing barge services to APLNG since 2019, when it acquired marine services provider, MIPEC.

Under the contract, TAMS will provide barge services using the Company’s 45.5 metre landing craft, Kaleen, from TAMS’ Gladstone Shore Base at Gladstone Port.

“This contract demonstrates TAMS’ success in delivering barging services to date,” TAMS Group Chief Executive Officer Lee Bartlett said,” and we are very pleased to continue provide services to such a significant resources operation. This is a valued long-term contract for TAMS.”

TAMS is the largest privately-operated facility in the Gladstone Port Corporation’s Marina, and provides port services, marine maintenance, engineering and construction services to the mining, marine, and oil and gas sectors.

TAMS’ Gladstone Shore Base site occupies 6 hectares of land and seabed lease, with extensive marine infrastructure including jetties, slipway, travel lift, barge ramp and significant onshore facilities including vessel maintenance yard, fabrication facilities, warehousing and laydown yard.

Established in 1999, it has seven permanent onshore bases across Australia, including Fremantle, Onslow, Dampier, Port Hedland, Broome, Gladstone and Cairns. TAMS is a proven and flexible operator with vast capabilities across the marine and port sectors, providing port marine services and solutions.
