In line with the Company’s vision of continuous enhancement of safety culture, Tomini Shipping, a world-class dry bulk ship owner, is delighted to announce the opening of its training centre at 907, Lodha Supremus, Saki Vihar Road Andheri (East), Mumbai. The training centre is dedicated to providing comprehensive and advanced classroom training for the Tomini fleet’s seafarers.
The opening ceremony took place on 7th December 2023. The training centre was inaugurated by the Managing Director of Tomini Shipping, Pradeep Bajpai and attended by esteemed guests from the maritime industry, Tomini’s sea staff and stakeholders.
Tomini Shipping’s training centre is designed to keep seafarers’ knowledge ahead of any regulatory curve. With the fast-evolving approach of the maritime industry to safety and environmental sustainability, Tomini Shipping aims to keep its seafarers trained in all aspects by delivering a wide range of courses and training programmes. The training centre is headed by Capt. Sudhir Nayyer who has previously commanded Tomini fleet vessels and has intricate knowledge of Tomini Safety & Quality Management Systems. By placing Safety of Shipboard Operations & Reduction of Green House Gases at its core, the training centre will offer diverse courses, including safety procedures, environmental sustainability, emergency response and advanced technical training. Tomini Shipping firmly believes that challenges in the maritime industry can be overcome with the proper training of its people.
