Azra Tech has announced the verified performance and environmental results achieved on the aframax m/t ZENOVIA LADY, operated by Western Shipping, following the application of Azra Tech’s coating technology.
The adoption of Azra Tech’s innovative coating solutions was supported in the Greek market by Green Navis, the company’s exclusive representative in Greece.
The vessel was coated with Azra Tech’s biocide-free, durable ultra-low-friction coating system, designed to minimise hydrodynamic resistance while preserving long-term hull integrity.
Post-application analysis after 18 months highlighted a 14% decrease in propulsion power, demonstrating a substantially improved speed–power curve. These efficiency gains translated into a total CO₂ emissions reduction of 2,360 tonnes, reinforcing the environmental value of the high performative technology.
The results achieved on ZENOVIA LADY underline Azra Tech’s role in enabling measurable operational savings while actively supporting emissions reduction and regulatory compliance objectives within Western Shipping’s fleet.
“Delivering both efficiency gains and CO₂ reductions is central to our mission,” a spokesperson from Azra Tech commented. “The results from ZENOVIA LADY confirm how ultra-low-friction coatings can play a key role in practical fleet decarbonisation.”
