Call for international businesses to take part in Maritime UK Solent Awards 2023

The Solent is renowned as a global gateway, and international maritime businesses with links to the region now have the opportunity to showcase their work in the prestigious Maritime UK Solent Awards 2023.

A new award category, International Partner of the Year, has been introduced for global businesses, collaborators, and umbrella organisations who are actively involved in international trade within the Solent-based maritime sector.

It will be awarded to an international partner who demonstrates leadership, strong engagement, and knowledge of the maritime world. This includes the economy and the challenges the global sector faces, and the company must be committed to developing a relationship with the Solent maritime cluster.

“We really encourage international maritime partners to take part in the Maritime UK Solent Awards 2023,” Anne-Marie Mountifield, Chair of Maritime UK Solent, said. “Global businesses working with organisations in the Solent region can enhance their reputation, gain valuable exposure, and forge new network connections.

“The past winners of the annual Maritime UK Solent Awards have experienced a significant boost to their business and encourage others to get involved. This is a great opportunity to highlight and celebrate these important international relationships and the positive impact they have on our regional and national economies.”

The annual Maritime UK Solent Awards celebrates the remarkable achievements and success within the local maritime cluster. This year, the addition of the international award category emphasises the integral role the Solent region plays as a global gateway involved in international trade and its ambitions to reinforce the Solent as a global maritime brand.

The deadline for submissions for the Maritime UK Solent Awards 2023, including The International Partner of the Year award, is 5 June 2023. The Awards evening will take place on 5 October 2023 at Portsmouth Historic Dockyard.
