DexCentral Maritime OS and NSBT join hands to develop future maritime technology talent

DexCentral Maritime OS, developed by Australia-based Charter Fleet Marine, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Nath School of Business & Technology (NSBT), a social initiative of N. Kagliwal Education & Research Foundation, to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and create practical learning and career opportunities for students.

The agreement establishes a framework for industry-oriented projects, internships, mentoring and knowledge-sharing, connecting academic learning with the evolving technology requirements of the maritime industry.

Representatives of NSBT involved in the collaboration include Harsh Vardhan Jajoo, Director and Professor of Practice; Neepa Mehta, Professor of Practice (Leadership) and Head of the Institute Industry Interaction Cell; Amol Warad, Head of Disruptive Technology and Professor of Practice; and Sanvedi Rane, Associate Professor (ESG).

Bringing Maritime Technology into Practical Learning

The collaboration will provide opportunities for students to gain practical exposure to DexCentral’s Proof of Concept (PoC) and product development activities. The initiative aims to connect software development, system testing and digital innovation with real-world maritime operational requirements.

Alongside student projects and internships, DexCentral is offering full-time employment opportunities as it develops its planned 24/7 support capabilities for global maritime customers. These opportunities will be subject to role requirements, candidate suitability and the company’s selection process.

Gary Glover, Founder of DexCentral Maritime OS, and Ganesh Yenugandhula, Co-Founder, said:

“Building maritime technology requires people who understand both software and the operational challenges of the industry. Through our collaboration with NSBT, we want to give students practical experience, opportunities to contribute to real-world technology projects and potential career pathways in maritime technology.”

The MoU provides a framework for continued collaboration, with individual projects, internships and employment opportunities to be agreed separately.

The initiative reflects a shared commitment to connecting education with industry needs and developing talent for the next generation of maritime digital services.
