American Offshore Services (A-O-S) proudly announced that M/V Gripper has achieved two years of continuous service supporting U.S. offshore wind operations as of March 1, 2026.
Since entering service, M/V Gripper has delivered safe, efficient and reliable crew and equipment transfers along the U.S. East Coast. Reaching this milestone reflects the vessel’s performance, the professionalism of her crews and A-O-S’s commitment to operational excellence.
Over the past two years, A-O-S has leveraged the operational experience gained through M/V Gripper’s service to strengthen and expand its presence in the U.S. offshore wind market. Since her launch, the company has expanded its fleet, achieved an on-hire rate exceeding 99 percent, and established operations along the entire U.S. East Coast. The team has also grown significantly during this period, reinforcing the company’s long-term commitment to the sector.
As part of A-O-S’s fleet of U.S.-built, U.S.-flagged, and U.S.-operated, Jones Act-compliant crew transfer vessels, the 30-metre aluminium catamaran was purpose-built to meet the demanding conditions of the offshore wind industry, prioritizing safety, reliability, and comfort year-round.
“This milestone demonstrates the strength of our vessels, our crews, and our long-term commitment to supporting offshore wind in the United States,” said Michael Burbelo, Managing Director. “We are proud of the consistent performance Gripper continues to deliver.”
