The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS), Hong Kong, is holding another Webinar on October 27th, 2022, at 5:30-7:00 pm Hong Kong / Singapore Time.
Titled, ‘OCIMF SIRE 2.0 – Will This Be a Game Changer for Tanker Safety?’, the webinar features several key topics. Included in this line-up is a focus on the current challenges faced within the industry. There will also be a particular focus on SIRE 2.0, the vessel inspection programme. The panellists will discuss the use of the programme, the driving forces behind changes to SIRE 2.0 as well as a focus on the human side of it. The webinar will also touch upon how the industry can improve, as well as asking the very important question: Is there a need to focus on the performance Vs KPI Perspective?
With a special appearance from Examination & Course Officer of ICS-HK Mr Sharad Gupta, introducing the webinar. Leading the topics will be Panel Moderator Captain Sanjeev Verma, of FICS, AFNI.
Speakers include Captain Duncan Elsdon, the Technical Project Manager for the Vessel Inspection Programme (VIP) Project at OCIMF. Captain Rachit Jain the Managing Director of Safe Lanes, Singapore will also be participating in the webinar. Finally, Captain Harmeet Bhatia, Managing Director, Heidmar Singapore and Captain Shiraz Mogul, Senior Marine Superintendent, China LNG Hong Kong, are also on the panel.
