Tomini Group and Alpina Chartering ApS announce transition in commercial management

The proprietors of Tomini Group and Alpina Chartering ApS are pleased to announce a significant development in their long-standing partnership as shareholders and operators of Tomini Shipping Limited, which controls a fleet of 23 modern bulk carriers, ranging from Handysize to Newcastlemax. After many years of successful collaboration, the partners have decided to consolidate their commercial management operations under Tomini Group’s headquarters in Dubai. This strategic transition marks a shift from their current arrangement with Alpina Chartering ApS in Denmark.

Since the inception of their partnership, Tomini Group and Alpina Chartering ApS have worked closely to achieve exceptional success in the shipping industry. Tomini has handled ownership, finance and technical operations, while Alpina has managed the commercial aspects. This collaboration has been pivotal in driving growth and success for both companies.

The transition process will unfold over the coming year to ensure a seamless shift to the new management structure. Under the new arrangement, Tomini Group will eventually assume full responsibility for all commercial management activities, including chartering, freight operations, and client relationships. This transition, agreed upon by the Shaikh and Kampmann families, aims to enhance operational efficiency and align with their shared vision for the future.

Tomini Group and Alpina Chartering ApS extend their sincere gratitude to all stakeholders for their ongoing support and collaboration. Both companies are excited about this new chapter and are committed to upholding the high standards of service and professionalism that have defined their partnership. They look forward to continued growth and innovation in the evolving landscape of the shipping industry.

“Today marks a significant milestone for Tomini Group as we start the transition of bringing the commercial management operations of our fleet fully in-house,” Numair Shaikh, CEO of Tomini Group, said. “This strategic decision is a testament to our commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and aligns with our long-term goals of growth and optimisation. We extend our deepest gratitude to Alpina Chartering Aps for their support over the years.

“As we embark on this new chapter, we remain dedicated to upholding the highest standards of service and continuing to deliver exceptional results for our clients and stakeholders. We look forward to the opportunities this transition will bring and are excited about the future.”
